So the route for the road trip is all planned - hotel reservations made etc. We leave on Wednesday to drive up to Burlington Vermont (Milton more precisely) to spend the week with my brother's family. Then we will head east to the White Mountain National Forest in Maine, stay the night. Then we head further east to the coast of Maine to Mt. Desert Island for two nights, where I can't wait to go whale watching! Then we head south along the coast to Kennebunkport Maine for one night, then to Cape Cod for a night, then a night in Newport Rhode Island, then home. Should be a good trip, though I admit I am an anxious traveler. I am usually anxious until I get on my way, and then I am fine. It's been a long time though since I've been on any kind of a road trip, so I am not sure if I will be able to relax and enjoy the ride so to speak, or if all the driving and what not will get to me. Guess we will find out.
Also - my roommate is leaving on Saturday while we are gone for North Carolina. She is going to be gone either until the end of June, or perhaps August, we don't really know. I am sad that she is going and I am going to miss her. Anyway, it will give Paul and I some time alone together so that's probably a good thing - though not so secretly, I don't want her to go.
I will make sure I post pictures of the kiddos this time from Vermont and will post from the road. See you in Vermont!
