How about a different approach

Instead of sitting here being restless, irritable and discontent at the Frankfurt airport waiting for my flight to the UK, I am going to try for a little gratitude. Here we go, let's see if I can do this.

I am grateful for/that:

1. My blackberry (okay, seriously, try harder).

2. I am going home on Thursday.

3. There are people who care about me and love me and worry about me and check on me.

4. AA and all of the strangers who have reached out via blogging.

5. No matter where I go there will always be people who will help me, even if I can't get to a meeting.

6. I got to spend a week and a half with my nephew who reminds me to laugh even at the tiniest thing and to stay in the moment.

7. It is summer.

8. That I am healthy.

9. That I got to go to Germany and France, two places I had never been.

10. That I have no obstacles in front of me.

11. That I get to choose to live my life differently and don't have to turn into my mother.

12. That I am financially stable and independent and don't have to worry about money.

13. That I like my job and like going to work every day.

14. That I work with a really great group of people.

15. That I will have 18 months on Thursday.

16. That I got to have a break from work.

Okay, admittedly, that is not the best list I have come up with, but it is a start.

Any gratitude list is a good gratitude list. Have you gotten to a meeting in London?

Um, no. I am in London for work and at an all day meeting. So that would be an excuse right? I keep telling myself I will just go when I get home. What is my problem? I feel so stupid for not going.

shut up! I think that was a great list! LOL it is what it is, and your attitude went to something more positive, dont be so judgmental about it... LOL come and see my list its not all deep and stuff either, but I am truly grateful for these things.
I hope your evening is going great and when you get on the plane, you can just sit and relax, and peace and serenity just washes over you,... smile - U rock

Hi! I am good - I got back two hours ago and it feels so good to be back in the US. I can't wait to go to a meeting. I'm just going to go to a bunch of meetings this weekend. Thanks for asking!
